During the workshop you will work with coloured, clear and textured glass, learning how to handle and cut glass safely. You will also learn the traditional technique of ‘leading up’ a panel to transform your drawings and inspiration into a stained glass panel.
This masterclass is a small intimate course, with lots of opportunities for practical help throughout. By the end of the two days you will have created your own panel suitable as a hanging decoration, or build into a window or frame.
The workshop is suitable for beginner and intermediate levels, with no experience required. If you do have some experience of stained glass it is an opportunity to improve your skills. All glass, tools and equipment will be provided for us on the course. You are more than welcome to bring drawings and images along as inspiration for creating your own panel. Much of the course will be messy, aprons will be provided but you may want to wear old clothes. Solid footwear is required, flat shoes with no open-toed or open-backed sandals are ideal.
