Painting Techniques Inspired by Hodgkin

Saturday 1 July, 10.30am – 4pm, £50 / Members £37.50

Pallette Painting

Taking inspiration from Howard Hodgkin’s work, develop skills and techniques to create your own paintings.

Looking at Hodgkin's use of vibrant colours and gestures in the representation of landscape and atmosphere, you will explore layering, blending and mixing colour. Use different tools, acrylic and watercolour paint and work on a range of surfaces.

The workshop will explore the importance of feeling, intuition and spontaneity within the composition process, and will also draw upon traditional Indian art, through choice of colour, tools and pattern.

This workshop is suitable for beginners or those with an existing practice, wanting to experiment with working in new ways, and share their work in a supportive environment.

Half of the allocated places are offered to Members at the discounted rate of 25% off, sold on a first come, first served basis. Become a Member.

Book your place online or if you have any questions or special requirements then don't hesitate to get in touch by emailing or calling 01924 247398.
