This experimental workshop is designed to celebrate the graphic and historic art of letterpress combined with the complementary nature of linocut. Within the day long session you will have the opportunity to explore the fascinating nature of fonts and see the letterform in a different and abstract way.
You will print with Victorian wooden type, cut lino into graphic or abstract form, layer colour and mix techniques to develop ideas figuratively or non-representationally. By using a variety of materials and techniques you will take home some unique and exciting printed artworks.
ABOUT THE TUTOR

Lino printing is a hand-crafted art and Helen creates her prints on a Victorian printing press that is the complete opposite to high tech. Helen regularly exhibits her work in galleries and museums.
