Volunteering

Volunteers are vital to the success of The Hepworth Wakefield. Since launching in May 2011 The Hepworth Wakefield has been supported by a team of over 70 volunteers from all walks of life. Our volunteers are vital in providing a positive visitor experience, working alongside the Visitor Services and Learning teams to facilitate workshops, events and assisting in the galleries.

Whether you are looking for experience in a gallery environment to support your studies, aid your professional development or just want to spend your spare time supporting our stunning gallery spaces, then volunteering could be for you!

CURRENT OPPORTUNITIES

We are looking for volunteers to work with us in our galleries and on a number of engaging workshops for families inspired by our collection and current exhibition by Heather and Ivan Morison, Ben Rivers and David Thorpe.
 
We have a variety of exciting volunteer opportunities allowing you to gain experience working with visitors and families supporting the Learning and Visitor Services teams in our 10 beautiful gallery spaces and vibrant Learning Studios. Specific roles available are as follows:

When completing your application please state clearly the role(s) you wish to apply for and how you meet the criteria for that specific role. 

Applicants need to be 18 years old or over.
