The Great Get Together

Saturday 17 June, 11am - 4pm

get together

We are pleased to host special events as part of The Great Get Together, an expression of national unity inspired by the life of the late Jo Cox, former MP for Batley and Spen, Yorkshire.

Join us in our garden for one of our ever popular street food markets, featuring a range of drinks and cuisine from across the globe, plus space to meet, sit and relax. A marquee will be in place in case of bad weather.

For Families

We have our free Printed Patterns workshop from 11am - 4pm where you can create a colourful printed artwork to take home. There will also be our Art Pod from 11am - 4pm, Explore and Draw bags and our Explore and Draw station, all available for free for families in the galleries. We also have special music activities in The Calder (see Out There Sounds for All the Family below for information and costs).

This weekend will be your final chance to see our highly acclaimed exhibition Disobedient Bodies: JW Anderson curates The Hepworth Wakefield. Look out for the jumper jungle.

We will be hosting two special events alongside The Great Get Together:

Taking place in The Calder, our converted mill building, the event features exciting performances and activities from local and international acts.
