The Hepworth Wakefield’s mission is to make world-class art more accessible in the Yorkshire region and beyond. In our opening year, the gallery welcomed nearly 512,000 visitors through its doors, free of charge, and 25,000 people of all ages will take part in our learning programme. THW promotes the arts through education and learning activities, community projects, contemporary and historical exhibition programmes, and our nationally important collection.
The resources available to us to achieve our ambitions are limited. As a registered charity, much of The Hepworth Wakefield’s work depends upon the support of individuals, charitable trusts, foundations and corporations.
THW supporters help the gallery to engage new audiences, showcase and care for our collection, and pursue opportunities to promote the visual arts. A gift of any size has a meaningful impact on the important work of the gallery.
