We’ve been working hard behind the scenes marketing the new exhibitions that open this Saturday, 11 Feb. With the shows focusing on an eclectic group of ambitious young artists, whose work all have an impending sense of apocolypse, we wanted to take the opportunity to promote the exhibition to the young professionals in the area, as well as to our regular art audience. With that in mind we chose an arresting image to lead the show with, a still from Ben Rivers’ film Slow Action.  As a bit of a pantone enthusiast, I worked with our designers at APFEL to chose a neon (Pantone 805U, if you like neon) to use for the What’s On Guide. The result is really striking. We’ll be handing these out from our 'pop-up gallery' in Leeds and Sheffield at lunchtimes and weekends to put them directly in the hands of our audience.

We’ve also been focussing our efforts online, working with Don’t Panic we have been getting carried away with the post-apocalyptic theme and will be posting some slightly off the wall YouTube clips shortly… To get the web buzz going we invited some arts bloggers along last night for a sneak preview of the show. Here’s what they saw…
